About the role:

As part of the Fijian Finance department, this role reports to the Pacific Finance Director amp; will manage the finance function together with the finance team to ensure accounting compliance, continuous improvement, maintain Information Technology, provide valuable advice amp; deliver reports to internal amp; external stakeholders.

What you will be doing:

  • Financial Management amp; Control
    • Prepare cost management reporting, financial accounting amp; planning cycles (rolling forecast, annual budget)
    • Manage business unit books
    • Bookkeep overheads invoices, salaries, accruals, prepayments, payments (remittance amp; issuance) etc.
    • Collaborate with amp; provide advice to Senior Management to increase revenue amp; reduce costs
    • Establish amp; review budgeting amp; forecasting model templates
    • Follow up on AR collection amp; AP reconciliations amp; payments
    • Advise on long-term business amp; financial planning
    • Propose action plans to achieve annual financial objectives
    • Follow up on internal AR/AP clearing system
    • Review Finance Function procedures amp; processes
  • Team Management
    • Create KPIs, monitor performance amp; initiate improvement opportunities
    • Ensure team data accuracy amp; integrity
    • Plan amp; monitor team performance including coaching amp; counselling needed to deliver expected outcomes
    • Identify amp; support team development opportunities
  • Compliance
    • Ensure non-conformities are identified amp; remedied
    • Prepare for periodic internal amp; external audits
    • Maintain compliance with local amp; group regulations on a monthly amp; yearly basis
    • Review amp; compile property amp; equipment leases
    • Review commercial contracts amp; supplier agreements with the business managers to ensure they meet Bollore Fiji, global regulatory amp; compliance directives
    • Ensure owned or leased vehicles amp; assets are registered, insured amp; maintained (industry certifications, road user changes)
    • Assess amp; declare VAT, social charges amp; corporate tax to Local authority
  • Drive continuous improvement within the role amp; department
  • Maintain Bollore Fiji Information Technology amp; equipment
    • Align with the Pacific IT Manager the meet the objectives of Bollore’s global IT strategies
  • Reporting
    • Prepare statutory documentation amp; reporting for local amp; regional management
    • Prepare consolidation package for HQ located in France

Requirements

The successful candidate:

Essential:

  • Tertiary education in Financial Management/Accountancy or a related field
  • Minimum two years of Management experience amp; three years of experience in auditing or accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

Desirable:

  • Strong commercial acumen amp; analytical skills with a data-driven mindset
  • Excellent written amp; verbal communication skills
  • Proficient organisational amp; time management skills
