Shift Supervisor
Location: Suva, Fiji
Provides security for Embassy personnel and facilities by conducting access control and visitor screening duties as a member of a local guard program.
Duties:
· Prepare guard orders, deploy guards, conduct musters and perform weekly scheduling.
· Conduct regular inspections of guards and guard posts and investigate any irregularities.
· Conduct a muster of guards going on duty for purposes of inspection for proper uniform, review of current security problems, special instructions, and training.
· Maintain inventory reports and investigate any irregularities.
· Prepare reports and make recommendations regarding discipline matters.
· Maintain flexible work schedule, which may include evening, weekend and holiday work.
Requirements
· Speak the local language(s).
· Have a professional English level.
· Must be a citizen of Fiji, a U.S. citizen, or a Third Country National in possession of a valid current work visa for Fiji (if applicable) or have the ability to obtain a work visa prior to the start of employment.
· Must hold a valid driver’s license for Fiji.
· A minimum of five years’ experience in the military, police or guard force with proven experience in leadership roles required.
· Have one (1) year experience managing security staff.
· Proficient in all areas of physical security and access control.
· Experienced in the use of physical methods of control and restraint.
· Experienced in basic communications and radio use/procedures.
· Experience in risk management including problem identification and problem solving.
· Familiarity with current trends and threats in Fiji.
· Record of proven reliability and good conduct.
· Experience in all areas of physical security and access control.
· Basic computer skills.
