Senior Guard

Location: Suva, Fiji

Provides security for Embassy personnel and facilities by conducting access control and visitor screening duties as a member of a local guard program.

Duties:

· Oversight of access control points and special function teams such as mobile patrol units.

· Maintain inventory reports and investigate any irregularities.

· On-the-job training of subordinates.

· Maintain flexible work schedule, which may include evening, weekend and holiday work.

Requirements

· Speak the local language(s).

· Must have a professional English level.

· Must be a citizen of Fiji, a U.S. citizen, or a Third Country National in possession of a valid current work visa for Fiji (if applicable) or have the ability to obtain a work visa prior to the start of employment.

· Must hold a valid driver’s license for Fiji.

· A minimum of two years’ experience in the military, police or guard force with proven experience in leadership roles required.

· On-the-job training of subordinates.

· Experienced in basic communications and radio use/procedures.

· Familiarity with current trends and threats in Fiji.

· Record of proven reliability and good conduct.

· Experience in all areas of physical security and access control.

· Basic computer skills.
