Guard Driver
Location: Suva, Fiji
The Guard Driver conducts mobile patrols, responds to emergency situations and provides transportation as directed.
Duties:
· The Guard-Driver shall be required to perform all, or part of the responsibilities set forth below:
o Observing a specific area for suspicious persons, vehicles, and activities.
o Recording and reporting observations.
o Questioning people.
o Calling for police support.
o Responding to calls for assistance.
· Maintain flexible work schedule, which may include evening, weekend and holiday work.
Requirements
· Must speak the local language.
· Must have a professional English level.
· Must be a citizen of Fiji, a U.S. citizen, or a Third Country National in possession of a valid current work visa for Fiji (if applicable) or have the ability to obtain a work visa prior to the start of employment.
· Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ commercial driving experience.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license and a superior driving record without moving violations or accidents within the last five years.
· Must have vision correctable to 20/20 with eyeglasses provided by the contractor.
· Must be willing to attend a contractor-administered driving training and safety program and must attain a ‘satisfactory’ performance during practical examination prior to assuming Guard-Driver duties.
· Must be competent driving under normal and high-stress circumstances.
· Familiarity with current trends and threats in Fiji.
· Record of proven reliability and good conduct.
