Security Guard

Location: Suva, Fiji

Provides security for Embassy personnel and facilities by conducting access control and visitor screening duties as a member of a local guard program.

Duties:

· Perform security duties at fixed, walking, or vehicle mobile patrol posts.

· Conduct access control duties to limit entry to authorized personnel or visitors.

· Operate walk-through metal detectors, hand-held metal detectors, electronic hydraulic barriers, and special monitoring devices.

· Maintain flexible work schedule, which may include evening, weekend and holiday work.

Requirements

· Must speak the local language.

· Must have a professional English level.

· Must be a citizen of Fiji, a U.S. citizen, or a Third Country National in possession of a valid current work visa for Fiji (if applicable) or have the ability to obtain a work visa prior to the start of employment.

· Familiarity with recent trends and threats in Fiji.

· Record of proven reliability and good conduct.
