Job Description

This role will be a part of the Sales Department in Suva reporting to the General Manager, search for new clients then establish a relationship to develop growth, handling customer service tasks amp; operations while reporting amp; assisting relevant stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Business development
    • Obtain new clients at a profitable level
    • Attracting new clients by innovating and overseeing the sales process for the business
    • Working with senior team members to identify and manage company risks that might prevent growth
    • Engage with clients continuously to understand new opportunities amp; develop existing opportunities
    • Meet or exceed annual sales targets monthly
    • Ensuring excellent customer service through regular client follow up
    • Make a minimum of 20 legitimate calls per month then deliver a monthly calendar to the General Manager
  • Operations amp; Customer Service
    • Set up amp; update customer profiles by liaising with operation and customer service stakeholders
    • Update CONCERTO weekly based on sales calls
    • Ensure the completion of credit applications amp; follow up on the process of approvals with the accounts department
    • Answer overseas freight tenders e-mail’s amp; letters within the specified timeframe
    • Respond to both existing amp; new client requests
    • Assist accounting staff to resolve any client financial disputes
  • Reporting
    • Submit previous week’s activity reports to relevant stakeholders
    • Assist the General Manager with the preparation of the yearly Sales budget
    • Strong customer service and sales skills for generating leads
    • Advanced presentation and persuasive skills

Requirements

Essential:

  • Minimum two to three years of business development or related experience
  • Proficient knowledge of all facets of freight forwarding
  • Excellent leadership and teamwork skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building meaningful relationships with clients
  • Excellent interpersonal amp; communication skills
  • Sales driven amp; goal-oriented
  • Basic financial knowledge, preferably in profitability amp; margins
  • Ability to think laterally amp; create effective solutions to problems
  • Conflict resolution skills
